Cybersecurity experts at Japan Digital Design, subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), claim to have found those who are responsible for hacking the Japanese cryptoexchange Zaif.

When part of the stolen funds in MonaCoin began to move in late October, Japan Digital Design announced that it managed to identify the source of the attack.

“Since MonaCoin started to move on October 20, we studied the source of the 5 transactions and passed information to the authorities,” informed the company.

The licensed cryptoexchange Zaif was hacked in September. Hackers stole approximately 60 million dollars in cryptocurrency equivalents: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and MonaCoin.
